G-COPY is a small business sim set inside a classic Amiga disk copier, made as a loving homage to X-Copy.

You start with one internal drive, 512 KB of RAM, $40 and three blank disks. Buy masters of imaginary games and programs at the Saturday disk market, read each customer's instructions, copy the right tracks and sides, verify the result and get paid.

Earnings buy more RAM, so a whole disk fits in the buffer, and external drives, so one source can feed up to three copies at once. Nine fictional titles bring copy-protection puzzles such as custom sync words, long tracks and weak reads, which you beat with the right copy mode, the right settings and a well-timed retry.

Free, runs in your browser, and saves your business between visits. Every disk is imaginary: the game never touches your real drives or software.

How to play

  1. Open the MARKET and buy a master disk. Moon Orchard costs $10.
  2. Read DISK INFO for the tracks and sides the customer wants.
  3. Click START and swap disks when the drive asks for them.
  4. Verify with PRUEFEN, then click the VERIFIED message to deliver and get paid.
  5. Spend your earnings on RAM, external drives and blank disks.

Controls

  • Mouse or touch: click any control on the copier.
  • Enter start, swap disks, deliver
  • Space or R retry or repeat
  • B market, I disk info, V verify, P pause, H help
